This is a video I did at home relieving some colic pain on my little one when she was about 6 months old. She suffered a bit of constipation & gas from time to time and doing these exercises at home always helped her. I learned some of the moves in a postpartum class I took and doing some online research.

This is not a permanent solution but just a natural way to remedy tummy aches which worked for my little one. Please consul...

Before and during my pregnancy I really enjoyed reading and hearing about other women’s birth stories for inspiration and advice so I thought I’d share my birth story in hopes of inspiring anyone else. Though everyone’s birth story and experience is completely different from the other, there’s always something new you can learn that can help you in your experience.

Birth Plan

From day one, I wanted a natural vaginal labor, me...

I realize I’m a bit late on the 2018 reflection / "New Year New Me" post so I’ll just consider this a Chinese New Year / New Me post since the year of the Pig starts tomorrow.

As I sit and reflect on 2018, I honestly can’t seem to think any year can top it. It was probably the best year of my life and part of me wishes it weren’t over which is why it took me a while to write this. It was the year that so many changes happened f...

A couple of months ago I dealt with a huge crying episode from Camila. I know what you’re thinking… “Duh, she’s a baby. Of course she’s going to cry.” Here’s the thing though, she’s not a crier, unless she’s extremely tired or in pain. The girl wakes up smiling and talking every morning instead of crying for food. It’s the most beautiful thing to me. But when she turned two months old, she started teething; hands in mouth, dro...

Does your baby enjoy tummy time or downright cry as soon as you put them on their tummy? I know every baby is different but mine HATED it with a passion up until last week. Now Camila finally loves it! Yay! She always sleeps on her back and likes it like that which is great for reducing the risk of SIDS. However, since we want her to build her body muscles, gain strength, hold her head up, and develop the ability to crawl even...

In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, I decided to finish this post I had been procrastinating on writing about my experience with breastfeeding. I’ve been breastfeeding for a month so far and I definitely had a painful battle with it in the beginning like most moms, but I put up a good fight and never gave up because I wanted what was best for my baby girl. I won that battle and wanted to share my experience to possibly inspi...

Delivering a baby is not easy and neither is the recovery. What many of us don't know before having our first baby is what we need to help with the recovery and what we'd need at home to help us not only in the nether region but our entire body. Our bodies go through a lot when having a baby and it's important we have everything we need to stay relatively sane when raising a newborn and feel better about ourselves. I've made a...

About two months ago, my parents and girlfriends set up a baby shower for me beyond what I dreamed of. They did such an amazing job that I wanted to blog about the decor ideas to give others inspiration, so here it is! I had a pinterest board with ideas, but most of it seemed like it would've been difficult to achieve in a short notice of 3 weeks. My husband was going to Vancouver for a work trip, so we took advantage of booki...

"I had a miscarriage." Those were four words I never thought I'd have to say, but I knew it was possible with the rate of miscarriages being so high especially when it’s the first pregnancy. However, it’s rarely ever talked about. I decided to write about this because I want to bring awareness to pregnancy loss because I’ve noticed many people don’t really know what to say or how to react when one goes through a miscarria...
