Yup, we're moving once again. Luckily, we’re not moving across the Atlantic this time, just a 2.5 hour drive from Lisbon down to sunny Algarve. I know I know...why would I move twice in one pregnancy? Simple answer: my husband got his dream job where he can work from home and we decided it's the perfect time to move before the baby arrives so we can be closer to family. Let's face it, I'm probably going to need all the help I can get once that baby comes because it takes a village to raise a child.
My husband has a huge family whom I adore based in a small town called Olhão near Faro. Most people that I've told in Lisbon that we're moving there give us a confused look as to why we'd leave such a popular city to go to a "boring" one. That's just it though! Lisbon is too popular, too busy, and we want to raise a family in a more family friendly environment. Don't get me wrong. Though I had many great adventures in Lisbon and really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful sights Lisbon has to offer, it was great while it lasted, but it's time to part ways and keep it as a vacation place whenever we want to come visit. Had I been single or not expecting a child, I would probably want to stay longer than 5 months, but I'm loving the more serene places these days and ready to live in
