5 TIPS ON HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF

Get rid of the mentality that loving yourself & making yourself a priority is selfish or vain. We MUST love ourselves. How can we fully accept love from anyone else or fully love anyone else if we don’t love ourselves?

Love starts within & radiates outwards. The more we love ourselves, the more we attract love & the more we are able to spread love & kindness to others.

⠀⠀

It’s so easy to focus on our “flaws”, which is really just perception, but I want YOU to start focusing on the positive, the love within, the beauty within & out, and the happiness within. Focus on things you love about yourself and things that make you happy. Not what makes anyone else happy.

5 TIPS ON HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF

1. REPEAT POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS DAILY SUCH AS “I AM CONFIDENT. I AM STRONG. I AM BEAUTIFUL. I AM HAPPY. I LOVE MYSELF. I AM LOVED.” AS MANY TIMES AS YOU NEED TO DAILY. The more we say things out loud the more we believe them. Just as easy as it is to focus on the negativity about ourselves & believe it, we can turn it around by saying positive things to ourselves. You will start to believe & feel it is true because it is!

2. FORGIVENESS: Forgive yourself and you’ll respect yourself more & you’ll be kinder to yourself. If we don’t forgive ourselves, we create a build up of animosity towards ourselves and that’s never good for the soul. This goes for forgiving those around you as well.

3. DO THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY: Try a new or old hobby you’ve been wanting to pick up. Learn some new dance moves, try hula hooping, read a book, create some art. Anything that stimulates your mind & makes you happy. Don’t focus on what anyone would think of your adventures. Remember you are doing it for yourself & you deserve it!

4. GRATITUDE: Show appreciation for what you already have & the things you love about yourself instead of what you dislike. You’ll see that the positives outweigh the negatives & the negatives don’t matter. If something about yourself really bothers you, such as anger issues or you spend too much money then focus on how you can learn to change that.

5. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE & STOP HANGING OUT WITH PEOPLE THAT BRING YOU DOWN.
